How our waiting lists work
So the way my list works is.....
When I have scanned a bitch in pup, I will announce it on here- my website, also on my IG, https://www.instagram.com/tomoradychowchows
and Facebook https://m.facebook.com/tomorady/?ref=bookmarks with the expected due date/dates.
When our litter/litters arrive and I know what colours and sexes we have have, I contact those on the top of my list.
They get a certain amount of time to get in touch with me. If I haven’t heard from them I work my way down the list.
I won’t know in advance the numbers (an approx only)
the colours (unless it’s a cream on cream mating)
or the sexes of the puppies until they arrive.
On top of that, people on my list may have bought a puppy else where, have decided the time isn’t right, or are no longer in a situation to have a puppy.
With Chow Chows We have had litters with 1 puppy all the way up to litters of 8 so it’s very hard to determine before hand and sadly some people will be disappointed.
It can be easier with the Saint Bernards as they have both larger litters in general and not the colour variation, however Markings do play a part in what people are after.
When I contact you to say there is a puppy available and you want to reserve one, I ask for a holding fee (this is non refundable, unless there is a medical issue with the puppy) this fee is taken out of the balance of the puppy. This reserves that puppy for you.
If there are a number of puppies of that colour and sex you may get a choice. If there is only one available or you were lower on the list, then you are allocated that puppy. The Puppies are all identified by a coloured collar so we can tell them apart and you can easily see them in photographs.
I do my best to keep you updated with regular pictures and videos of your puppy.
In most cases we organise a puppy party where you can come and meet your puppy, we do this once their eyes have opened and they are happy walking around (usually around 5 weeks old)
This is lovely to both meet your puppy before it’s ready to leave us and for you as you get to meet all the other owners to your puppies siblings as well.
The puppies can leave us from 8 weeks old.
They will be;
▪️KC registered
▪️Microchipped
▪️Have had at least their first vaccination
▪️Fully wormed up to date
▪️Come with a Puppy pack including Food
▪️A lifetime of Help and Advise
If you want to go onto a waiting list for one of our puppies, please go back to the drop down and enter the correct waiting list with as much detail as you can please.
.................................................................................................
I’m often asked, ‘where am I on your waiting list’
This is particularly hard to judge for a number of reasons:
▪️The number of puppies born (something I have no control over)
▪️The Colours and Sexes of the Puppies born in regard to what you are waiting for (again something I have no control over)
▪️The number of people in front of you, who decide to keep their place on my list and purchase a puppy from me.
▪️The number of people in front of you, who decide to remove themselves from the list (quite often these people don’t tell me until I contact them to tell them that a puppy that meets their criteria has been born)
As it stands these are factors that I personally have no control over.
I understand this is frustrating but my girls are not machines and do not produce puppies to order.
I would love to tell everyone that I can guarantee them the puppy of their dreams within a short timeframe but I no that this is just not realistic.
If you have any questions please get in touch with me. The more sensible questions you ask and detail you can share with us about your situation, the more likely you are to have one of our Puppies.
Please note that we stay in touch with our Puppies when they leave us and we have a close bond with their new owners. When you take one of our Babies Home with you, you become part of our family.
Thank you
